200 years old but unfortunately it's toilet facilities match its age. The ladies was out of order and there is only one toilet for the men.

The staff are really friendly, it's a great pint and the facilities are good. WiFi is available if you ask. The pub is well positioned in the town centre and I look forward to going back again soon to have a meal.

Great locals pub in the heart of Coleford with plenty of seating space, inside and out.
Very friendly. Check out the magic Guinness machine!
Doesn't accept cards, but is opposite a bank ATM.

Very quiet for a Sunday afternoon we were the only customers. Good that we were able to take the dog in but the place felt tired as if it needed a makeover. Service was friendly and drinks fine.

I spent a week camping at Greenacres Campsite in July 2020, just a 10 minute walk into Coleford town. It might be my age, (late 30's) or my preference, but this was the choice of pub for me. There are others in town, but depending on your needs or expectations, this place was the most (almost only) welcoming pub in town. Very friendly owners, full of local information, good local recommendations and generally more than happy to accommodate. Good choice of draughts, entertainment and seating, they also accepted card payments during my time there. People used to use the term 'hospitable', this is one of those places. I do hope they are still there when I return for my next visit to Coleford

First visit since refurbishment and reopening. Very nice and good service. Only minor point was that it felt very cold when we visited. Might just be as it had just opened when we got there? Will visit again.

Very comfortable interesting place to enjoy a drink, well supported after a major refurb. I was less impressed by the quality of the beers. My London Pride and my wife's Spanish lager were both a bit off. Try the wine next time.

Got to say i was just a passing trucker in the area overnight.
Popped in for a cheeky couple of pints, instantly greeted by Marney the dog, she's beautiful.
Ended up sitting with the owner John who's an absolute gentleman. We talked about our dogs for my entire stay.
A very warm welcoming place.
