In fairness the pub and the staff saved me from giving this a 1star rating. The room was not as described in the marketing material, as it had no external window or vents so was smelly due to a lack of fresh air in it. If the marketing information had said that, I wouldn’t have booked it. Staff were friendly and nice, pub was a bustling friendly place.

In times of covid, no-one should be required to share a toilets with others unknown to them. Hence I checked out & slept in my van.
Staff that I met were nice, beer garden outside, not so....

Comfortable Bed and Breakfast establishment. Clean and comfortable bedrooms. Tea and coffee making facilities in the room with a supply of biscuits to compliment. Useful Bottled water included. Freshly cooked breakfast to order, efficiently made and served to tables. More than adequate. Very pleasant staff. Will stay again when visiting family in the area. Thank you.

Very basic. You have what you need but very noisy. Can hear the music from downstairs in the bar. Had a hard time getting to sleep but other than that the breakfast was nice and a good start to the day

Great place to stay. Clean comfortable, great breakfast and very friendly staff always ready to listen and chat a bit. I would recommend this place and plan to book anytime I am in the UK. Thanks Gary and staff for a great stay. Malc SA.

Bit expensive but great location for Whipsnade Zoo. Clean room but noisy room above bar where music on Friday night was unbearable. Saturday night ok. Staff were nice

Car park at the back, off road parking at front, both free.
Breakfast was good.
Rooms above the pub, that didn't bother me.
It's an old building. I stayed in a room at the front and boy was it cold, freezing more like it. It was snowing outside, with the paper thin curtain and old windows, the radiator was no match.
I would stay again, but not if it's cold outside.
Everything else, price, room, bed, breakfast was good.

Lovely little pub with wonderful staff. Katie and Andrea (apologies if spelt incorrectly) are such lovely ladies who will make your visit feel warm and homey. Husband and I love this little gem.
AND if you know you’re gonna have a few (too many) drinks, then you can book in a room for the night!
Great place!
