The New Inn

Really nice food, great play area for our toddler (bit too big for him but older kids would have a great time). No real gluten free options but plenty of stuff for vegetarians. Kids food portions really generous. Best bit was the staff - really friendly and accommodating. Would definitely head back and only a short drive from the Monkton Nature Reserve so great for some lunch after a walk 👍🏽

Well what can I say. Ciaran and Lauren put on a magnificent and delicious 90th birthday lunch for for 26 people for my dad. I couldn’t fault a single thing. It was easy to chat to sort out the menu, the service was second to none and the food was scrumptious. All the staff were helpful and couldn’t do enough to help

Our rambling group (20 people) had the Christmas lunch menu here yesterday. It was great value for money - the food was excellent and the atmosphere was friendly. The staff couldn't do enough for us. Thank you for everything.

Probably the best roast lunch I have had. Everything that belongs on a roast, fantastic portions, service was attentive. But the best thing on the plate was the roast potatoes absolutely perfect 🥰

Arrived without a booking but they cost us a table in bar as the restaurant was full.
Had a lovely Beef Sunday roast x 4, couldn't be faulted, followed by some excellent puddings.
Not the best looking from the outside but with such friendly staff and great food who cares.
Can't wait to be in the area again to be able to sample some more of the menu.

Service was very polite, friendly and helpful. Food was of a reasonable standard. The desserts (icecream) was a rip off.
No disabled access. Had to sit in the marquis. Luckily the weather was good. Won't be returning I'm afraid.

Fantastic Christmas Day meal was enjoyed here in 2021.
The food was delicious, and was served hot and in good time.
The landlord and lady were very helpful and friendly, as were their staff too.
The whole experience was an absolute pleasure, from booking and organising through to enjoying the dining experience and pub ambiance on the big day.
