Firstly let me say that the staff there absolutely 10/10. Very kind and very understanding. Thank you so much for your service. The food however… there’s one meat free option on the menu and it’s the most disappointing dish I ever had… 18£ for courgette & chickpeas swimming in oil. 18£ !!!! I didn’t eat much of it as it was just ridiculously oily. There’s so many nice and cheap veggie in a sauce dishes to make which are meat free, I’m not sure what this is. Very very disappointed.

Wow what an incredible little find.

We were really glad we’d booked as this place does get busy, and we could see whyZ

Friendly staff and a comfortable quirky environment with some lovely views over the valley.

Food and drink were exceptional.

Brought my townie friends here for an evening meal: the service was very friendly and efficient, the food excellent and the views breathtaking! They were super impressed.

Superb food and wonderful service.
We popped in for a pint a couple of weeks before lockdown happened in 2020 and we have been eagerly anticipating coming back for food as it looked so nice.
It did not disappoint. High quality produce prepared in a simple but effective way and well presented. The front of house staff are a lovely bunch and the surroundings are very pleasant.
One of the nicest meals we have had in a long time and very good value.

This was a lovely meal in a lovely environment. Staff were friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. The menu was creative and interesting, with much sourced locally. Very welcoming for the baby, too. Highly recommended.

The Woolpack is , without doubt one of the greatest pubs I have ever experienced in my life. Coming from Ireland , I'd like to think I've been to some great pubs , but this place is magic. Pure magic. I went in for a quick pint and left 5 hours later having met loads of people , played a cowbell along to a barstaff led rendition to Rocket man . The owner and staff are amazing, the location is amazing, I didn't even try the food but it looked amazing. Embraced the owner on the way out for a good 5 minutes. Class

A gastro pub more than a real pub. If you book a table outside make sure it is definitely outside. On the day I was there multiple diners who had booked outside were told they hadn't. Although to be fair they did find us a table outside eventually. Nice local beer though.
