What a fabulous pub! An amazing selection of first class ales in particular but several fabulous ciders and great quality wine. The landlord and lady make you feel so very welcome and the staff are tip top - young, enthusiast, kind, attentive and very competent. You never have to wait to be served they’re ready, almost before you are. The locals are pleasant too & rightly proud of their favourite watering hole. The food is to notch too. It’s well worth a visit and even a detour if you’re travelling through the area. I would happily go every day of the week if I could.

Booked a table for a Saturday night, arrived and was told there was a function on and no food was being served. They failed to communicate with us, however offered us a complimentary meal as an apology. Booked this 'complimentary' meal and then had it cancelled again due to issues with their kitchen. Tried a third time and have now been told the chef has left. Avoid!

Very pleasant experience!
Weather was beautiful and the outside area overlooks the natural landscape; they also have rattler on tap 😍. Instant win.

Loved this old pub, frontage was having a bit of a refurbishment. Nice selection of ales were on. I chose to have the Otter Bright. Which I enjoyed. Staff were friendly. Will definitely pop in again when in the area.

Very friendly pub! Sorted me out with a nice ale, a delicious pizza, and a camping spot for the night. Thanks Luise!

Spent 5 nights in a nearby caravan site with The Bell 80yards away.
Excellent hosts, food and beer.
The Happy hour filled the pub over the weekend. If your near the Bell then pop in and enjoy the atmosphere and the beer.
Plenty of walks near and around the pub.

Great place to stop after a walk in the surrounding countryside especially on a wet miserable spring weekend. Covid rules adhered to and need to sign in on entry. Serve hot drinks which is great and the home made chips are bloomin marvellous! The view from the heated beer garden is fabulous. Highly recommended
