We have driven by The Crown at Marcham a few times but have never stopped.

One of my wife's work colleagues said they had eaten their and it was very good so we decided to pay them a visit today. WOW! what an experience. A very olddy-worldy pub but very cleanly and nicely refurbished. To start with it had a Hygiene rating of 5 which always pleases me and it was immaculate... the food is home cooked and created to traditional recipes and the pub is family run concern making it very homely.. the Service was fantastic and we were made very welcome. The food was outstanding and the portions are generous. The food was served hot and on nice hot plates.

It is very fair on your pocket. Today (Tuesday 31/10/2017) mains were £5-50 with a dessert for a further £1-50. This was the Lunch Special and as yet we haven't visited in the evening but believe me, we will be back soon...

A traditional local pub with good honest meals and service at a great price. The staff at the Crown are hard working and always eager to please. The dining room is clean and relaxed and is not overcrowded with tables. For those with a gluten allergy it's a great option when you want propper chips, some homely cooking , or just can't face cooking after a hard day.
We will continue to return time after time. All the dishes are good, however the haddock and mozzarella fishcakes are just wonderful.
Always best to phone to check availability.

Proper pub this, nice to see a big open fire and a pool table. It's a small local village pub with no thrills but for me that's the beauty of it. Not a gastro menu insight, just a few ales and lagers on tap some pork scratchings, oh and not forgetting the fruit machine. Love it let's hope more pubs go back to their roots before the hipster brigade totally take over the world.

Delicious food, I got extra gravy without having to ask (result) and the bill was so much cheaper than London.
