Always friendly, good bar staff and good atmosphere. Causal food, i.e. burgers and chips. Outside space which is good in the summer. Bands and acts are regular and there's always a good vibe

Basic. Regulars swear like troopers presumably because it's cool (I am no prude, but this was like a school playground in the 1960's). Inexpensive. Only visit once, or maybe better yet, nonce!
