Nice traditional pub with good food.

Old fashioned pub with several separate rooms and a large garden. Large bar with two to three real ales. Limited food menu, mainly snacks. A bit scruffy but comfortable.

Had a quick drink and lunch on a hot day here. Carpark available around the back of the pub. The garden was very nice to sit in on a sunny day. There was also sheltered seating so you could sit in the shade, or out of the rain.

Decorative pub with iconic band memorabilia.

Visited this pub today for lunch and it was really disappointing. The menu is really limited and the pub is scruffy and not clean. The ton bucket that came with the condiments was dirty and looked like it had not been cleaned for a while. The halloumi burger arrived in a cold bun and the salad looked slightly old. For a smart high street in Ashtead, Surrey and a pub I used.to visit as a child, I was surprised at how run down it was. It's a great location but I will not be visiting again. The staff were friendly but that's the only good thing I could say about it.

I love the hot chocolate. Thank you.

However, the open sitting area at the back is not so clean; could see cobwebs. I will visit again and I hope to see improvements.

Cheers!

Nice beers. The food is pretty typical pub food, but it's tasty and well presented. Dog friendly too.

Good traditional pub. Pizzas good.
Update:
Still does good pizzas, now has a new ale on the hand pump and cocktails on tap!
Update:
Remains a good drinking pub, now have a new coffee machine making decent coffee.
Kitchen currently closed due to power costs, but pub still open for drinks.

My favourite pub in Ashtead. Frorndly, welcoming and lots of seating in different rooms and a good place to go for a beer with friends. At the time of writing, they are not serving food.
