Good balance of hotel and pub . Local customers realy friendly. Efficient staff nothings too much trouble. Personally I prefer a bit more music, but don't take away from the experience

We spent Saturday night there. Very Loud music and shouting from the bar, which was below our room. Music stopped at 11pm but then people gathered outside our room talking and laughing loudly for an hour. Then, later, people came stumbling to their rooms. Room and bathroom were clean though. £120 for that was a kick in the teeth. We had no warning that there would be so much noise.

Could do with a really good clean. Double room. They issue one towel. No shelf in shower. No towel hooks. Bed needs to go in the bin, springs are coming through. And it sags. Pillow is wafer thin. We found mould in the shower and basin and around the windows in the bedroom. All in all a terrible experience.

This isn't a family B&B more like a B&B for builder's. Very basic room no coffee/tea eg in the room . No smoking signs in the rooms which smells of smoke. I could go on with more , but a nice welcome from the staff .

Stayed 4 nights while on a coaching course, friendly staff and customers, great pub grub, ensuite rooms, comfy beds, towels, TV, clean, ample free parking, karaoke on a Sunday, (ideal for me) pool table and darts, table football. Breakfast is paid for separate to the room fee from a large menu selection. Good prices, great selection of draft and bottled drinks, a Tesco 100 yards away, cash machine. Outside seating. Ideal for what we wanted it for.

Rooms smell of drains. Not clean. Broken mirrors, no shelves or hooks in bathroom. Better off at a premier inn. Do not know how it gets high reviews - must be fake or they have stayed in another hotel.

Looks are very deceiving ,very friendly atmosphere, rooms very clean good shower ,would definitely stay there again
