Fox & Hounds

It was my second visit today, along with a friend. We both enjoyed a fantastic Sunday roast.
As they don't cater for the masses. It was a real home cooked roast, just like mum makes!! Roast potatoes were fabulous!! Staff are lovely. It has become our favourite nook to come and sit, chat and eat.

Lovely pub, good Sunday roasts, service a little slow at times considering it wasn't that busy. But overall a great place. Will go again

Friendly service, excellent real ale, a lot of history. Haven't tried the food but specials list looked great. Pirate ship play area in the back garden for children. A very welcoming pub.

We were a table of 8, 4 adults and 4 children; sat around a table probably more fitting for a party of 4. It was a little disappointing as we had booked some time before we ate there, we were quite uncomfortable. The food on the whole was actually quite nice. BUT the service was so slow. It really did detract from the overall experience. Also things like no sauces left for the kids and having to ask for plates to be taken away. We spoke to a local couple who eat there frequently, who praised the pub for their food! I'd like to think we just caught them on a bad day for that reason.

Such friendly staff and lovely place. Felt the food could have been slightly more tastful. Overall a good experience. Want to go back for other menu items.

Nice to sit at a dressed table ,with white table cloth and serviettes,the food was well presented,plentiful and very tasty,and reasonably priced .waitress was friendly and informative
