Stayed overnight. Bed is clean, warm and all rooms have ensuite.
Food was hot, fresh and tasty. A interesting range of drinks.
My biggest gripe was not having a bright enough light at the bedroom table. Almost irrelevant a a complaint.
I would stay and eat here again.

We went there today and ordered our food and drinks through the Greene King app. After 1 hr wait, we asked the waitress about it, she told the food will come half an hour later without even checking it. At 1:30 mins later, we went to the counter and asked the guy. He said the order through the app never came to their counter although the money was transacted. Do not use the app at all!!!! NOT RELIABLE!!!!!! And the waitress failed to check the order and said recklessly that it would take 30 mins to come. Totally unresponsive!!! I will never go there again.

I like this pub. Outside seating area is nice, it's dog friendly the staff are great and the food is fine. So last week I took my grown up family for a bite to eat at lunch time. My Wife went in and got the beers while I looked after the dog - 4 pints at £5.80 a pint and every glass was underfilled - and I don't mean not quite to the brim, more like 1/2 an inch from the top. At nearly £25 just for the beers, my sons and I all moaned at my poor wife. When she went in to get the second round it was the same again so this time she asked if they could be filled. Rather than an apology she received a snotty comment about did she want to take a mouthful before he topped them up. We spent £160 on lunch with the drinks so hardly a budget visit and I don't think it's unreasonable to expect a pint, when you've paid nearly £6 for a pint. Bit of a shame to spoil what is otherwise a great pub. Not sure we'll be returning.

Lovely staff and excellent service 👍 will definitely be back tomorrow night. The copperdog and ginger ale cocktail was absolutely amazing! Top notch delivered from all 👏

Bar and resteraunt were good with a good selection of food and drinks. Staff were helpful and attentive. Unfortunately although the room was quite large the decor was very tired and tatty, letting the Dog and Partridge down.

Lucky enough to have a couple of nights stay here. Room was good, clean and comfortable. Staff were very pleasant. The breakfasts were plentiful and good quality. The bar stocked a great range of local beers along with all the usual culprits, and each one I sampled was delicious. They also have a large selection of spirits. We had an evening meal here and also a lunch. I can highly recommend the chicken and bacon sandwich. It was very well filled and so tasty. Can't wait to have another visit.

I enjoy this pub it has a good vibe. However if you want to drop in for a drink early evening you will find most tables will be reserved - well perhaps not mid week - sometimes it pays to ask staff if you can use a table on the understanding you'll be leaving before the reservation time.
Further it is a fiver a pint pub (2022).
Moral is get organised and book a table.
