A fantastic venue for our sixties party and meal.
Really enjoyed having a private room and some outdoor space for our music.
The food was excellent . Everyone enjoyed their chicken lamb or vegetable curries.
The starters were very good too with amazing dips to go with our poppadoms onion bajis and chicken pakoras.

2 Months ago it would have been a 5 star kind of place. The pub itself is lovely, food a fair price and normally a decent but realistic selection of choices.

We are big fans of the sun special burger... Choice of mac and cheese, pulled pork or Bolognese filling with the normal pattie. Best part was the home cut chunky fries, kind that mums used to make but alas it would seem no longer. This set the place apart from others.

Recently the chips have become a basic fried chip in either chunky or french fry style. This is more similar to wetherspoons and isn't the same. The chef has changed the salsa to a relish which just ruins the food. It's too spicy and just too dry, as if over spiced when made. I was told by staff this was the head chef's decision but why fix what wasn't broken?

We have come on various nights and normally go on busy ones like quiz monday or on a normal friday. The place does events during bank holidays etc. I find Tuesday and Wednesday although quieter to have less staff on. Food does take a moment and seems to have less quality on these days? Perhaos the chefs are different?

In terns of drinks theirs plenty to choose from and members normally get a discount on specific ales or drinks. We don't drink often so cannot comment too much on the tastes of the ales but those I've tried are unique.

Finally and this is just a suggestion Table numbers wouldn't hurt. You have to try and explain where you are sat when ordering and on busy nights that feels like trying to give directions to another part of town. The staff are lovely and I feel it's a small sinple change which would really aid them when it's busy

Great place staff are incredibly friendly, visited yesterday lunchtime (24/11/22) with my wife .. had the Titanic Porter Grand Reserve and a cheeky half from The Fat Cat Brewery, hopefully next time I visit I can stay longer !!

Very good friendly independent pub. Owned by a local brewery who make some lovely real ales. Food is first class. Though my last visit was just after boxing day so a reduced menu. But still very nice.

Now this little pub is a treat. Titanic Brewery with lots of choice. I had the IPA: Anytime. Very hoppy and an easy to drink session beer.
Two beers, low alcohol cider and a coffee for £15.
Look forward to returning and sampling more ales and the food 👍🍺
Will return when in Staffordshire 🍺

An old fashioned drinkers pub, No fancy decor or annoying music, just the best range of beer in Stafford town centre. A good mix of people make for a good atmosphere.
