Smashing little pub, with excellent cask ales, ciders, and a great selection of rums. Catch the beer garden while the weather is good and find yourself in a little patch of heaven.

Very fortuously happened upon this absolute gem of a proper ale house completely by accident and glad that I did! Great beers served by friendly staff who know their beer!

Terrible place. Arrived at 1615, encouraged to drink beer, which unfortunately tasted wonderful, even had a rather superb burger delivered from the Jug. Which meant I didn't have to move till I left St some point after 1030. Terrible!!

A really warm welcome whatever the weather! Bridge Street is somewhere to meet up with friends - and make new ones. 'Grum' and his team are very welcoming, and really knowledgeable about their ever changing selection of guest ales. And for non beer drinkers like me it has the best and biggest range of visiting ciders, both traditional and more modern. Everyone is made to feel that it's their local, even on their first visit. Oh, and it's dog friendly too, has a beer garden and no loud music.

Probably the best pub in Newcastle. Very warm and welcoming with a fantastic range of beers I really can't fault the place.

Rare night actually drinking with the boys I'm normally chauffeur to.
Lovely atmosphere here. Great beer too.
They might need a new Chauffeur soon.

It's a pub full of legends and stories of dragons, pixies and pump clips.

You'll find no finer place to drink than this, with it's ever changing selection of beers and ciders.

Get your pirate on and drink rum whilst sampling pickled eggs in a bag of crisps.
