Lovely pub on our way back to Uppingham.
Friendly atmosphere and great selection of drinks and beers.
Guinness tasted lovely.
Great old inn.
Will definitely come back for more.

Thank you.

Omg you can't go wrong here on a Friday lunch.
Two Cod and skin on fries, peas and a pot of tartar sauce for just £10.... YES £5 each when bought together!!
Portion size was certainly not Skimpy either and it was cooked perfectly.
C'mon you know it makes sense stop reading and go 👍🏻

Thursday curry night. Ensure to book as very popular. Tasty options and excellent value for money. Would definitely choose to eat there again and to try the wide menu on other nights. Very freindly staff that make you feel welcome.

This authentic old village pub with its genuine beams and old oak doors is special!
A good pint and excellent pub food that cannot be beaten. We went on a lunchtime and had superb fish and chips for a really bargain price.
Wish we were nearer!

What an amazing find. The setting is fab in a beautiful stone building in a beautiful village.
The food was excellent. We started with bruschetta and the black pudding fritters. Had to share as both were so delicious.
The belly of pork main course was reported as being excellent too; I noticed there was no offer of sharing that!
I went for the chicken breast stuffed with mushrooms and smothered in a cheese sauce. What luxury!!
It would have been rude not to share a dessert so the cheesecake appeared. Sheer indulgence. We could not have eaten one each!!
The service was brilliant too. Our lovely lady was happy to help with a small change as I don't like Stilton so cheddar was substituted. And she recommended the dessert!!
We will be back.
