Nice enough place, food adequate. My mum had Beef n Ale pie she said the pie was beautiful but the mash wasn't fresh it was cooked from frozen

Service was slow. The new decor looked fairly nice with the biggest improvement being the outside area which looks lovely at night but rather cold as well. Unfortunately for the service, it was far from acceptable on my visit. I ordered two drinks of which were served to me within a few minutes. I had a bottle of cider and my friend a pint of lager. I noticed I had no glass and by the time I looked up there was someone else being served. I wasn't asked if I wanted a glass with my bottle. I waited until the second drink. I signalled the bar tender for a second drink and there was a young couple at the bar too soon asked the bar tender to serve them first as I'd already had one. They then continued to serve other people for the next 10 minutes regardless how many times I signalled across that I was waiting. They were really slow at serving others and a large queue had formed. We ended up leaving in the end. The bar tender had a miserable face on them for the whole time we were there and never attempted conversation. I think I'll be avoiding here for a quick friendly drink from now on.

Not the most diverse menu but more than adequate for the not-too-choosey.
Could be more
veggie, but that doesn't affect me.
Had a most enjoyable meal, gammon, egg and pineapple. The food was excellent quality especially the triple fried chips. Not had such good ones for years. Even the egg was perfect. And the service was excellent, with no significant wait.
Fully recommended from me and I look forward to going again.

When we arrived it was packed out, but we found tables and ordered. Food came and was really good quality. Servers were excellent. There was an excellent choice of drinks and food. A special Christmas Crafts area was great for the Kids. Full marks from us.

Lovely venue! Tasty, reasonably priced food which came quickly even though they were really busy. They had a fun event on for the kiddies too which kept them entertained while we waited for the food. Would definitely recommend

It's a Greene King cheap and cheerful pub, the only issue is the food is cheap and either just ok or bad. Meals incomplete or inedible, the kids not liking the mac n cheese, and Sunday beef that looks like it's boil in a bag (we were told it was prepared on site). I know it's newly opened but if the food stays as it is then I couldn't recommend you go here there are far better options about.

Visited here today for some lunch with my family, haven't been since its been renovated and reopened so thought we'd give it a go, safe to say I won't be returning in a hurry! Found a table no problem which I thought was unusual for time of year, decided what we wanted and we to the bar to order to be asked if I had a reservation, I didn't, so was then told that I couldn't place an order for food as they were prioritising pre bookings and not taking walk ins, I can understand this being the case if it was busy but the pub was pretty much empty and there were no signs stating this nor were there any reservation signs on the tables! The girl behind the bar seemed pretty rude about it and didn't offer any help at all, we left after that with a very upset and hungry 2 year old, would avoid at all costs, not good for a newly opened pub that is all about the local community, we live near by and won't be coming back in a hurry

We went a couple of days ago but were disappointed with the food especially the chips. Before it closed we went regularly especially for the home cooked chips, but like everywhere it seems they charge more and give less. The decor of the pub has improved but food has gone downhill in my opinion.
