Ye Olde George Christchurch

Lovely, olde pub. Really old. Plus a pizza shack at the end. The bar is made from old doors and the daube and wattle wall is on display in the bar. Good pub grub menu. Friendly and informative bar staff.

Called for a quick drink while having a stroll around Christchurch.
Lovely welcoming pub, good selection of beers and ciders.
Nice yard at the back with plenty of seating.
Dogs are made welcome with free doggy treats.

Delightful pub with friendly atmosphere excellent ale and food reasonably priced

The most disgusting meal I’ve had in a long time. This was lunchtime and I ordered from the ‘lunch menu’. A loaded sub with skinny fries. The sub was a stale baguette heated which was hard and dry. The topping was can best described as mince and onions topped with grilled cheese yuk! The skinny fries arrived luke warm. Condiments were asked for but not brought.

The place was not very busy and my food took over 30 mins to be served despite asking why it was taking so long.

Staff were young, unprofessional and inexperienced and more concerned with conversations amongst colleagues than serving their customers. An awful experience NEVER to be repeated!!!

Good for a drink at the end of the night and also a good curry for dinner!

Olde Worlde pub in the middle of Christchurch. Flat level access.
We were in the bar/skittles alley room NOT the main pub.
Unfortunately it was chilly. Not enough heating.
Food was pretty decent but not gourmet, however the pizzas which were cooked to order were very good.
Overall. 4 stars.

I have been to Christchurch many times in my life but never been to ye olde george until now, this is my new place of choice when visiting! Staff are very friendly & seem honestly happy people. I had the Xmas pizza which was delicious! Can't wait to go back!

The George inn is my favourite pub in town, a traditional pub with loads of history about it, friendly and efficient staff and great food. Always a warm welcome from the staff especially Monica, Pam and Jamie!
