Best pub by a country mile! Recently refurbished to a very high spec, wood fired pizza, excellent service and excellent beer. Highly recommended.

Gorgeous Sunday roast, massive portions. I don’t even think a starter is needed! One of the best places I’ve been for Sunday dinner. Would definitely go again!

I have just taken my husband and guests here. A much anticipated reopening. High hopes but very disappointed. Overrun by staff lingering over their phones. An age for our main course that was cold, not once asked if everything was ok because it wasn’t and believe me I would have said given them an opportunity. I had to ask staff who the manager was so I could comment and voice my opinion as asked on my receipt. Manager was sat with I’m assuming locals and mid our conversation she was distracted by something else. I paid our bill of just short of £100, no tip and sadly lost the attention of the Manager. I understand early days etc but I’d sort of expected a willingness and anticipation for a new venue. Food bad and cold, flies everywhere, when I mentioned this I was asked if there were flies in the food, I said no on the food and it was implied oh well that’s ok! Service ok but robotic and a different face every time. I’m so embarrassed that I’d taken my guests there, they were polite but I know disappointed. There are so many similar pubs and restaurants in the area that do Sunday lunch well, I think given the current low standard of the Royal Oak that it won’t survive unless it’s attention to management of staff and kitchen change quickly.

Excellent meal very good sized portions reasonably ££. Table was slightly wobbly, a beer mat sorted that out.

Beautiful building/surroundings. I was particularly impressed with the outdoor setting but due to being dark I could not really have a look. Had a very Scandinavian/ European feel to it which I love as I am from Sweden 🇸🇪. Love the furniture/ colour combination / the pictures & paintings which was made by the Woreleston business man which provides a sense of community which was absolutely lovely/homely/cosy&welcoming. Service was excellent and girls provided service with smile. The manager made an effort to attend to each individual dinners which again gave sense of a personal touch. Tasty food however there was slight issue with my son's burger meal but they dealt with it. Looking forward to an invite to their upcoming events from the manager.

I ordered a Rigatoni Funghi. Masses of pasta and a nice sauce, but there were hardly any mushrooms. One sliced, maybe two, there were no more under all that pasta.

In fairness to them, when I complained another Rigatoni Funghi was offered, but I really didn't want any more pasta.

My beer was good, but had a very large head, so couldn't be referred to as a "pint".
