Spyglass & Kettle

The spyglass and kettle is in a great location on the clifftop in southbourne and they make the most of this with a conservatory dining area which is very nice, although a little cool on a winter's evening. We were there on a saturday and it was busy, with staff somewhat overstretched. Our meal was fine which was probably a good thing as I dont think they would gave coped well with any issues or additional requests.
However, for reasonable pub food and a good evening, it is worth a visit.

Fabulous place visited yesterday with dog to shelter from the rain before booking into the b&b. Staff amazing in this place, manager/brewery listen up give them a payrise if you havent already they are a credit to you and your establishment they loved Dexter Dog gave him treats and water. The Guinness was very nice as well. A gem of a place!!

Wouldn’t usually use a Green King house, but was hungry and it looked the most appealing of the pubs along that stretch of the road. I have to say how pleasantly surprised I was. Have returned twice since after spending the day at the beach and have to say have not been disappointed. Staff pleasant and attentive, food reasonably priced and tasty.
Would definitely recommend.

Had a room booked @ the spyglass & kettle and can not fault it room we stayed in room no.7 was very spacious and clean and bonus pub was a green king staff was so attentive and food was amazing.

Fabulous restaurant and bar. Lovely beer garden right on the seafront. Perfect location. Food was fantastic and well priced, and the waiting staff very well presented and fabulous with our dog. Frances served us impeccably and with a smile, made a total fuss of our dog, and was always ready with a smile and to tend to our needs. Would definitely recommend this place, and we will certainly be back when we are next in the area. We'll done guys, thank you

Have had a lovely long weekend at the Spyglass and Kettle in Southbourne.

Amazing location,easy access to surrounding areas plus a bus into Bournemouth takes minutes.

Southbourne beach is stunning and this place is right on it.

Best part was the team here....

If you need a great place to stay with direct access to everything this is it.

My choir went for our Christmas meal at the Spyglass last night. We received a warm welcome; friendly staff, festively decorated table, efficient service. The food was absolutely delicious - I didn’t leave a crumb! Excellent value for money, too.

Fast service. All food came together for all people in our group of 7 dinners..
Starters came promptly, altogether and super fresh and hot.
They left a nice gap between starters and mains, where some other locations make a hash if this . Waiters were all very professional and sharp. Missed nothing and so happy to help accommodate everything.

Also dog friendly, so anyone with a mut, can take them with you with no restrictions.

Those who perhaps don't favour dogs, might want to consider this place. But we as a group were all very impressed and will go again when we revisit the area.
