Good menu choices and plenty of drink options Pleasant environment and friendly staff, worth a visit

Just back from trying my new local pub for the first time.
Really great well kept ale and freshly cooked food which was very tastey and good value.
Fabulous freshly made real chips...always a treat.
We had the beef and ale pie and the haddock and chips....both really good.

Looks to have a busy dining client,
Big upgrade on the last visit as far as the seating arrangements go.
After the diners departed ,only a few stayed for the music.more people would have helped create some atmosphere.
As with most bars these days ,a smile is a precious thing ,a bit like a unicorns horn, if you can find one.

Needed a quick meal, came here and we had the sloppys burgers, mac and cheese and dirty fries, was out of this world, defo recommend, very reasonable and so bloody tasty, fabulous quality. The best food we have had in a long time

Couldn't believe the cocktail range and value. A cosmopolitan menu in a locals setting. The food menu looked good so somewhere we will definitely be returning to again when in York
