Combwich Anchor

Looking for a pub that catered for adults and kids we came across the anchor. Pleasant staff and nice food, dogs are also welcome which to dog owners is a bonus.

Cracking Sunday lunch was had by all.
Would recommend going if you want somewhere different from the norm.
And after you've eaten have a walk along the river bank opposite the pub.

Very good food for a very good price. Cosy atmosphere, friendly staff. Will come back!

Went at 1245 on a Saturday to find they were only just opening up and were not going to be doing any food, it looked a nice place but we didn't stay as wanted food

Lovely meal. Plenty of FRESH veggies. Very tasty and good service. Really good plate sizes too. Not little plates making you have to pile everything on top of each other. Good value for money. You can taste the quality of the meat. Well cooked and good rota per table. Definitely recommend.

A very friendly welcome and great service. A reasonable choice of dishes on the menu, but we were also offered fish and chips as a special value option - and very nice it was, too.
I was a little surprised to see only one cask ale, but it was a reliable one (Doombar). They have a very nice looking extra room with several tables and lots of books. A welcoming place, although the heat from the open fire at one end did not reach the far end of the bar on a chilly January day.
