What a hidden gem, we arrived before they had started service, but they didn't mind us sitting on the beautiful swing in the sunshine. The staff were amazing, attentive and friendly and looked after our table throughout our stay. The food was a little slow to come out but when it did it was worth the wait. The lamb scotch eggs were the best scotch eggs I've ever had! Can't wait to come back and would highly recommend.

We were blown away by the variety and the thought put into curating an impressive menu 🍖 we were practically spoiled for choice and found it hard to settle on what to eat, since everything sounded so good! 👌🏽

Loved the interior design of the pub too, staff were attentive, proactive and gave great recommendations. 👍🏽

We'll definitely come back!

Poor booking experience with a mandatory £40 credit card imprint. Poor experience at bar on arrival. Upon seating our party of four were seated at a dirty table accompanied by crumb infested and stained seats. Waiter informed no action, cleaned table and seats ourselves. Drink order taken but only partially correct. Service slow food order taken. Food cold on arrival and presented in a chain pub type no frills format which is not reflected in the price. An additional 7 min wait for waiter to provide condiments. So done it myself. Overall poor service, poor dining experience won't use ever again.

Gorgeous bar & interior decor with delicious cider! My companion said the Harvey’s was on point, also.

What a change from the past, very good decoration and huge investment in rolling roof out the back. The food is very expensive to my mind, but what you get does justify the cost. My steak was perfectly cooked, and for me I genuinely mean it - perfect. Best I've have had in at least 5 years, though it's worth noting in the past it hadn't cost this much. I guess prices have gone up, because everything else has.

The staff was helpful and friendly, though some appeared to have been in the job for a brief amount of time and not gotten into the swing of it.

All in all, well worth the visit and fully deserves 5 stars and no less.

P.S. I never normally take photos of my food, but this time it needed doing.

This is a smart centrally located pub, extended into “Orangery” . Provides great venue for parties. We were lucky to get a table without booking on a busy Bank Holiday weekend. The food and drink choices were reasonable, good service from our waiter and the floor manager. Nothing negative to note, we had a good experience as a family and the potions were very generous (whale and chips!)
