Dirty. Smelly. Awful. No redeeming features at all. Garden view? What garden? Bin full.bedclothes had not been changed. Cups covered in lipstick. Wallpaper hanging off walls. We did not sleep and could not get away fast enough. I could not even consider eating breakfast here. I had to put a shirt over the pillows before I could put my head down. No customers at all on a Friday night.Disgusting. It should be closed down and reported to trading standards.

Very pleasant friendly staff .Nice thoughtful touches like providing fresh milk for tea instead of UHT.Its unfortunate that the bar restaurant isn't currently open but others within a couple of minutes walk

Run down and filthy. Very little choice of drinks of any kind. Rooms dirty, don't bother going.

DO NOT BOOK. DO NOT BOOK. DO NOT BOOK
We had booked 2 night 21st and 22nd Oct we have just been told that there is no manager and no staff on site of an evening. the pub is closed and the whole place is closing on 30th October DO NOT BOOK THIS PLACE. we tried to get a refund after only 5 hours notice that there was no management on site of an evening and have been refused - discussing way to treat clients that booked in good faith

What a let down, I know it was cheap but seriously the worst b&b I've been in. The breakfast was ok,ish but all the jam/marmalade pots had been opened and half used omg. The whole building needs a revamp and is leaking in water from several places. My bedroom door was bent and had to slam to close it an also had a gap near the bottom coz it was warped. The worst thing still was stains on the mattress 🤮 how disgusting even the the sheet covered it you could still see it. 2/10 avoid this place even though it says under new management.Needs new owners and a complete revamp to whole building.

Booked a room here at the last minute and the owner / landlord was very helpful and gave me some tips on how to get a better deal via booking.com
Think they're doing some post-Covid renovation work throughout as the room was pretty scruffy and the carpets were due to be replaced. Not a problem initially - just needed a place to crash for the night - but on returning to the room later I got the slightly uneasy feeling that the bed sheets hadn't been changed and - in the morning - a definite feeling that the ensuite shower room hadn't been properly cleaned in a long while. God knows what was on the tiled walls of the shower!
Shame really. I'm not the precious type and it was a very cheap room above a pub, so wasn't expecting a five-star experience but would have liked the very basics to have been covered off. Maybe just a blip.
