One of the best pubs we ever visited. A very warm welcome awaits you as soon as you walk in. The landlady Karen and her husband Andrew , and the bar staff are so helpful and kind. Wonderful food and real ales make this a very fine hostelry.

Lovely village pub. Comfortable with a lovely fire and great food and service.

Very limited menu. We had steak and ale pie which was delish. But we did see some fish and chips go out, and they looked awesome! Next time...😁

Absolutely great village pub, food is exceptional, Sunday roasts to die for. We love a steak and ale pie, but I can honestly say, they serve up the 'best' steak pie we have ever had! Lovely friendly staff, and everybody who comes into the pub says hello, and is chatty if you want it. Really good community pub!

Nice little village pub 10 minute stroll from our caravan ar White Gate Caravan Park. Good choice of beers, cider etc. Real ale brewede at the Tirril Brewery which is in the village. Good choice of food available. Open most days.

For all intensive purposes it was food but if you enjoy super salty food dogs watching you eat and attitude off the bar staff as your an out of towner then by all means this is the place for you. Its over priced salty as hell junk food with staff being obnoxiously rude because of my dialect. I cannot recommend enough....if your an out of towner and looking for some food with your mates then go somewhere else this place is for locals and they make it very clear they want to keep it that way

Had the roast beef dinner it was lovely, 5 different veg served alongside, portion size very good and good sized home made yorkies ..

Had a Sunday Roast to take away wow plenty of meat and veg well presented in a large container and plenty of gravy good value. Would recommend it.
