The gate never changes, one of the last old pubs in Redditch that's not had a "makeover" and painted the outside grey.... Why do they always do that?

Great place great beer.

Good traditional pub. Great choice of ales. Been coming here every now and then for 25 years. Almost seems out of place with other pubs nearby but certainly the better option for 40+ old drinkers. My only minor gripe on last couple of visits was unfairness around and after last orders. Was refused drinks (not drunk only on 3rd round, quiet bunch) while more regular punters I noticed were still getting served, they tried to do it thinking it wasn't noticed. Unfair, shame.
