Came across this place on a bike ride & what a lovely find, very friendly & welcoming, lovely large beer garden. sadly we didn't get chance to try the food which did look very appetising but we do plan to make this a stop at the end of a ride one day & will be sampling the food.

Absolutely amazing Sunday lunch today at the Blacksmith Arms. I had the roast pork, which was the best I've tasted in a loooong time! Generous portions and quality produce. Will definitely be back!

Been here a couple of times in the past 8 years. This was the first visit for years. The pub has changed owners since last here. No one dresses to serve there just in jeans etc. The staff and service was ok. We had a mixture of main courses. I had the roast beef with everything. It was a massive platefull for all of us. We all left something and certainly no puddings were had. The better option would have been the kids portion size at half the price plus a pudding. My beef was quite rare and I would say undercooked. There wasn't an option given. Some of it was edible and some wasn't I.e I couldn't cut it and eating it was similar to eating leather. The surrounding are ok but nothing fancy. There was a giant Yorkshire pudding with the meal that is over the top. I prefer smaller ones that I can eat and enjoy with the meal not a meal in themselves. Sorry not for me. For that price I expect better surroundings and believe it or not a slimmed down meal cooked so I can enjoy it .

Called today 15 / 01 / 2023 for Sunday lunch it was our first visit and won't be the last especially as we are local. The staff were friendly , helpful and polite and made you feel welcome, dog friendly and had a visit from Dexter the pub dog likes to wander around didn't beg for food the kids loved stroking him ( not mine ).Back to the food well prepared and piping hot , portions larger than average but not over welming and good quality and very reasonable price. The pub is cosy with log burner and excellent choice of beers. 100%
