Cosy restaurant/bar in Jedburgh that offers good value meals. We liked the taste of the items we had ordered. We went on a midweek during a quiet late afternoon and service was reasonably quick. Serving staff was friendly.

With a a bit of luck we found this place (old style) due to other places being fully booked on a rainy Tuesday! Ordered 4 different dishes and whooowww they were all very delicious - ale pie, soup, chicken pate and the batter fish. Staff was very helpful and prompt. A place not to be missed.

We were lucky to have a table for our first dinner in Scotland, with a nice abbey view, friendly staff and good food.

A great little pub and restaurant in Jedburgh. We arrived for a short break and had a couple of drinks here first. The prices were incredibly reasonable and staff were friendly and welcoming. We will be returning in the Bear future, perhaps to sample the food

Called here yesterday, after having a lovely weekend in Newcastle. What a great surprise waiting for us, from a place previously never visited. Friendly place, with a nice atmosphere, even though the pub was not full staff. Staff really nice and attentive. We had the Steak Pie and Battered Haddock, cooked from fresh, hot and absolutely delicious. Reasonable price and a place that we will now add to our must go again locations. Well worth a visit.

Had a lovely lunch today meeting up with old friends. Lovely meal and very friendly staff left my gloves and a lovely member of staff ran to the car park to give them to me service over and above many thanks . Hope to see you again next year.

Popped in for lunch when travelling south. Good food at a reasonable price with friendly service. Will be back!

Stopped by for food on our way to Jedburgh Jail ghost hunt. Ordered chicken curry and steaks, both were beautiful. Desserts were lovely too. If we ever pass by that direction again we'll stop for food again
