We hadn't driven out to the Hunters Moon since well before lockdown, but went for a meal last night. I had forgotten how much I like the pub, and we had a lovely meal. Nice choice of menu, all local produce (fabulous wild boar sausages) and friendly service. Good value too. We will certainly be back again.

What an amazing pub. Attentive staff could not do enough for us and the place is dog friendly. We truly had the best Sunday Roast ever at the Hunters Moon. We went back later in the week, sometimes a mistake, but again we all had a wonderful meal and the staff were lovely, so not a fluke the first time!! Must try the Wild Bore Sausages - they were amazing... We will be back when we next visit this lovely part of Wales.

Amazing place. We had the Sunday Roast and it’s amazing. Mine was the nut roast, really crunchy but soft at the same time.
The people is very kind. They were fully booked but they still managed to accommodate so we could eat after a long walk.
The service is great. Highly recommended.

What a gem! You have to come! The food is really tasty, all homemade! We had the Sunday roast and it was delicious. The speciality is the service, the young girls working today were fabulous going the extra mile and with such a great attitude. Truly a great place.

We ate at The Half Moon inn twice whilst on holiday we were staying within a 2 minutes walk from the pub, we pre booked as reviews said it got busy but on both nights it was pretty empty on the Saturday night we were the only people there eating until 8pm. Food was faultless the first visit my husband had prawns to start followed by the pie and I had the sirloin steak with peppercorn sauce the steak was a bit pricey at £29 but was cooked to perfection. They were accomodating when I asked for peas instead of mushrooms, tomatoes and onion rings. The service on our first evening which was a Thursday was not so good I had to get up twice to re order drinks which was a bit odd as there were about 4 members of staff around the bar. Also no one came to our table to check our meals were okay. Was different on Saturday night staff bought us more drinks and asked if our food was okay. We had the Chilli con carne and beef burger both very tasty. Overall we would return as the food was amazing, the pub is a very old pub with a lot of character felt like it could have been a bit cleaner, sticky table and quite a few spiders around the beams which I guess is to be expected.

My wife said "By far the best pub food I've had in years. Maybe ever." Highly recommend coming in for a drink and a meal. Very friendly staff, amazing food, proper old British pub vibes.

Loved it. Great friendly village. Good beer and cider. Maybe bit more choice on real ale, but cannt fault it.
