Excellent service and food. I had sea bass and was very good. Curry and burgers were just ok. Not that good…

At home atmosphere with pleasant upbeat music. We enjoyed our lunch after hiking to the waterfalls. I recommend this business.

Truly excellent food and the most dog friendly pub l have ever visited.
Creamy garlic mushrooms were an excellent starter but glad we chose to share one between us as it was quite big and the mains were equally generous.
For mains my partner opted for the burger which was very good; l went with the lamb shank and could barely finish it, some of the tastiest lamb l have eaten anywhere.
Other great touches were a choice of potatoes with your meal so not all chips and the wonderful dog menu - we opted for the chicken breast which Buster loved even though it was so big he got the second half with his evening meal.
The service was very friendly and efficient and coming around to give the dog a couple of treats was another nice touch.
Very impressed, we are booked for Sunday lunch tomorrow and already looking forward to it.
Highly recommended

Small, relaxed place with good music and a great vibe. Food was great and the service was even better! Every staff member had a smile and are at hand if you need anything! Pate for starters was great, the onion chutney with it was my favourite. Was sharp and sweet and complimented the pate amazingly. The roast come out and my only complaint is that I only got 1 pint of gravy! They could have that stuff on draft it is that good. The lamb was tender and melted in my mouth. The Yorkie pud stuffed with stuffing was delicious and the giant roast potato was fluffy and crispy, exactly what you want from a roastie! Parsnips were on point as well and there was a nice choice of veg with it too. Now on to the pudding... banoffee pie of course, BUT... instead of the buttery biscuit base, it had a whole walnut cake as the base! Phenomenal substitution! Ate the lot along with a couple of ciders and wobbled out of there like a weeble with a very full tum and a very big smile. A must visit if you're in the area.

Fantastic little pub. Super dog friendly. Dogs get their own menu and blankets. The food was superb. Wholesome, hearty and generous. Can highly recommend the lamb shank.

Loved this place. The chef really know what they are doing, what a treat this was. They have a special menu for lunch too. Staff was brilliant and very welcoming. This pub should be part of your holiday plans when visiting the waterfalls. Absolutely spot on.

I loved everything about this pub! We visited following a gruelling but satisfying afternoon at the nearby Four Waterfalls Walk and were badly in need of food and drink! The Old White Horse Inn is an historical building with character and ambience (a bit of a Tardis, actually).

Friendly staff who took time out to chat with us and give us some background to the building. Then came the food: I had the Sea Bass and my wife had the mushroom stroganoff.

Both were artistically presented - the pictures should speak for themselves- and I didn't quite know whether to worship, bow or eat the food) and absolutely delicious! I think we embarrassed the staff with our glowing but truthful compliments.

A gem of an establishment, you'd do well to stop by, take in the genuinely warmth of the place and tuck into one of their several great items on the menu.

A final word: I asked Professor Google to find us somewhere to eat locally (whilst still at the Four Waterfalls) and of all the nearby 5 eateries, it picked The Old Whitehorse Inn. Just saying!!

I found this place because it wasn't too far from where my family and I were staying for holidays. I was very happy with everything - I didn't expect it to be as great as it was!

My mum had (initial) concerns that it would be a bit of a "bloke's pub" but it was nothing of the sort. The food was absolutely fantastic, as was the service. We even stayed later to join the pub quiz (which we didn't win but oh well).

If we're around, I know we definitely wouldn't mind coming back here. 100% recommend.

Lovely food and a great atmosphere.

Staff were very attentive and service was quick

We also had prawn cocktail and a creamy garlic mushrooms. They were tasty and a decent size.

Will be back.
