If relaxed and unpretentious is what you are looking for wether you are visiting Erwood/ surrounding areas or simply just passing through the area, then The Wheelwright Arms is the place to go. The pub offers a calm and friendly local environment that is kept well. The drink choice is superb and the food offers a traditional pub style menu and is outstanding (Also a great proportion for the price). Having also walked past the kitchen window when walking around the area whilst trying to find my way around Erwood, I noted how immaculate the kitchen was kept, which was very reassuring. Staff are friendly, welcoming and enjoy a laugh and a joke with you along the way. Would 100% recommend.

P.S. The Fish and Chips are just amazing!!

Small village pub with outstanding food. The menu is varied and has something to suit everyone's taste, you will never leave hungry as the portions are amazing. We were addicted to the ham salad, sounds boring but was absolutely delicious. In addition, their homemade chips which come in a huge bowl are a must.......
The staff are really accommodating and go out of their way to ensure the customer leaves happy and fulfilled.
Can thoroughly recommend and hopefully shall make a return visit.

Lovely pub with tasty food, good atmosphere and excellent customer service. Dog friendly. Gentleman on bar brought bowl of water for my two and they received a cooked sausage! Would definitely return.

We ate two nights at The Wheelwright Arms whilst on a family holiday last week and were thoroughly impressed by both visits. A wonderful, friendly little pub and restaurant with a great choice of delicious food on the menu (the chips especially were amazing!). There were 8 of us in all and we all enjoyed our food. Definitely recommended.

Only given the one star because it is the lowest option. We visited as a family of four adults and a baby due to to a 10/10 review (must have been off a staff member)!! We found the staff to be extremely rude. Asked if food was still on (2pm), it was as though we were causing them a great inconvenience and were told ‘only food in a basket’. This didn’t deter us. We entered the pub, found a table and asked if there was a high chair available. Again, we were made to feel like an inconvenience and told ‘there could be one in the lounge’ but no attempt to go to the lounge and find one or direct us to the lounge was made. We then went to the toilet to change the babies nappy and there were no baby changing facilities. Looking around the pub we saw the basket meals were served in plastic baskets. There was no friendly welcome, no smiling faces, no atmosphere and no money from us went over the counter. We made a swift exit.

Stopped in on our way home from Conwy, fitted four of us in for traditional Sunday lunch two courses. Very welcoming and accommodating nothing to much to ask for, would very highly recommend 👌 😀 👍 😊
