Stopped here yesterday late afternoon for some food after a friends recommendation. Sat out the back in the really nice garden with our dog. The staff were lovely and our food was delicious. Would definitely come back here if we were in the area again.

Friendly staff directed us to our very spacious room. Lovely huge comfortable bed and a beautiful view over the countryside.
The decor is dated and the water in the bathroom was only ever lukewarm.
We enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again.

Fantastic find. A very warm welcome waited. Dogs more than welcome. Treats for them to. Food was lovely &menu well executed. Would recommend and will definitely be back. Ps try the dragon fire ale. Specially brewed it's Welsh beer At it's best. One small criticism there's a long wait for food although it didn't bother us. But please don't expect to rush....

Warm and welcoming, the staff were very pleasant and helpful. We enjoyed a lovely meal from a good menu selection. We arrived at 5pm and the restaurant was very quiet but was filling up as we left a couple of hours later. Would definitely return again.

Awesome place not too far from the city. Great food, room and services. The room is slightly slant. The food here is great, ordered cauliflower steak and mussel with cream. The carpark is a little hard to enter due to its small size and turn. Would visit again.

Friendly staff and a nice warm pub on a rainy day. They have a good menu, good portions and the prices are right for the portions and quality.
I enjoyed a steak pie and mash - very nice!
Will be back again soon...

A fantastic hotel we chose to celebrate a very special anniversary at The Groes Inn. As we were also travelling with our recently adopted wee dog, we looked at lots of reviews for pet-friendly hotels. The Groes Inn came out top for Conwy pet-friendly hotels and they did not disappoint.

The staff were absolutely brilliant, Louise took expert care of us and our nervous doggo. We were made to feel very welcome with thoughtful touches like a card & bubbly in our room on arrival.

Our room was lovely, spotlessly clean, toasty warm which we appreciated mid-winter. Huge bed, large bath & a beautiful view over Welsh countryside and lots of sheep!

We stayed two nights and had a lovely dinner both nights. Wait staff were all very friendly. Food was absolutely delicious with a great selection; something for everyone.

We can't wait to come back again in the spring. The perfect spot for exploring north Wales.

Although we didn't need it, there are charging points for electric cars too. Lots of thoughtful touches everywhere!

Set in glorious Welsh countryside, a beautiful and relaxing place to be.
Our room was spacious with a terrace overlooking pasture to the hill beyond. We visited on an extremely windy and rainy day so we weren't able to take advantage of the garden furniture on our private spot but I would imagine it to be a great place to sit and chill; read a book and take a drink, alcoholic or otherwise.
The bed was king-size and very comfortable. Shower had a plentiful supply of hot water. Breakfast was good. The staff friendly. We had passed the Groes many times but only ever called in once for lunch years ago but we enjoyed our stay so much we intend to return on a sunnier day with less wind. Its well worth a try.
