Loved this and will come again when more time.

Warm welcome by new owner Nick & attentive helpful & informative waiting staff. Adorable location with the soft croaking of a local cockerel under the shadow of Sugar Load which I had just climbed and in sight of the flanks of the Skerrid’s northern side.

Today was 18° but felt warmer and the sun was high over this marvellously renewed and refreshed pub. But the welcome was warmer still. Country flag stones & bustling with colour in the beer garden of petunia, impatiens and cosmos and terracotta pots artfully placed. Just two 0.0 beers and a sparkling water this time with peanuts, but promise of more to come from a great looking menu and wine list.

A place families, pairs of walkers, local residents and purposeful dinners will feel at home and fulfilled.

This is a superb, family-friendly gastropub. The food (especially the chicken pie) was possibly one of the best we've had at a pub and it was a pretty reasonable price too. Service was on point being fast, responsive and friendly throughout. Kudos to the new management, you're acing it - we'll be back!

We had our Sunday lunch yesterday as a take away from the crown pub and it was we thinking the best Sunday lunch we’ve ever had. It was amazing. Can’t wait to go back and have it again, hopefully at the pub next time!

The best dinner we have had in a very long time! We had Camembert and chicken terrine to start, both were beautiful and a cut above your normal pub offering…we asked for extra bread and this was no trouble. Pies for mains - portions generous and so much meat!! We didn’t really have room for dessert but decided to share the deconstructed plum cheesecake and we are so glad we did. It was out of this world! Food was simply amazing and clearly all freshly made by passionate chefs. Staff lovely and friendly and the atmosphere was really buzzy. It’s clearly a pub really popular with locals but as visitors we were made to feel so welcome.
Brilliant in every way, a must visit!

Just returned home from a wonderful meal at The Crown. The roast beef dinner was delicious! We splurged and had three courses and every course was as delicious as the previous one. Big shout out to the sticky toffee pudding 😍 DELICIOUS! Plus the service was fantastic, thank you all! A splendid Sunday afternoon spent at The Crown.

Trying to find a pub in the area on a Monday night proved pretty tricky. When we came across The Crown, we were amazed at the standard of the food and service! This is not your average pub. The food was some of the tastiest, most well-presented we’ve had from anywhere. The starters boasted unique, delicious flavours. The steak and lamb shank were perfect and the desserts were a real treat. Great beers on tap, very smart inside & out and top-tier service throughout the evening. Nick and Amy (and their superb chefs) are really building something special, I highly recommend a visit!!!

A wonderful atmospheric country pub. Called in at lunchtime for a snack 5* for the food. Then attended on the evening to celebrate my husband's 80th birthday again the quality of the food and the service given were first class. Definitely worth a visit.
