Stayed at the B+B and ate dinner and breakfast here. The area and beer Garden are beautiful, the rooms are very clean and comfortable, both meals were excellent and the landlady and locals were very friendly and gave us a warm welcome. I will definately be returning and would highly recommend.

Lovely place built on an old Roman fort. Good selection of drinks, and friendly staff. Beautiful beer garden overlooking the river.

A nice pub with a good selection of drinks. Just be very careful about opening times as they can easily catch people out. Also check food serving times for same reason.

Parked overnight in our campervan, squeezed us in for dinner without notice. Friendly and good food.

Excellent birthday meal 😊 We will be back very soon! They managed to cater for our group of 5 that included carnivores, vegetarians and an onion-avoiding person. Great choice on the menu and super options on the blackboard too. Delicious. Highly recommended.

Was recommended this place by a local. We went as a group of 4 adults and 4 children for a sunday roast. Excellent food. We was made to feel welcome, the chef came out and went above and beyond to help us, telling the children they had animals outside they could look at and also offering us some more food if we were still hungry. They also do kid size portions of any adult desset which my 9 year old loved as she got to pick off of the adult menu.
