Stopped off for lunch which was lovely. There's a large garden area which was busy so we ate inside. The staff were friendly and the food was served quickly. Our baguettes were delicious and the chips we shared we're the best for a long while. Nice beer too.

The beers on tap are good - a couple of Purple Moose on tap and the staff are friendly. The food is fairly reasonable price-wise but the quality was not good. I had their veggie burger with chips and the burger and bun were just not up to the standards that you can get these days.

Wholesome honest food at a reasonable price, great choice of real ales although more non alcoholic ones would be welcome, lots of space inside and outside.
Friendly staff and quick service considering how busy they were. A good place for single travellers as well as families and groups. Would recommend it.

Cosy place out of the way with really friendly staff and great food and drink. Lovely beer garden right outside where you can eat. Was the only place local that didn't need a reservation which suited us, so much so we ate there twice, spending about £150. The other places that had "reserved" signs everywhere and "fully booked" looked empty as we passed. Will be back, thank you!

Called in on Sunday to grab a few drinks and food. Bar staff weren’t that welcoming and she struggled to say anything more than yes or no. Ordered food which was nice but could have been warmer. The young waitresses were very pleasant I must add. Will not rush back which is a shame as have been going there for over 30 years.

I've been coming here for about 30 years while on holiday, with my grandparents staying in the hotel and have lots of fond memories of the place. The garden is really nice and the food and drink are great too. Highly recommend.

Just returned from a 3 night stay, for our next stage of north west coastal walk. Couldn’t fault it, friendly staff, comfy bed, excellent beer 🍺. Ate all 3 nights couldn’t fault it. Very accommodating with breakfast moving time to fit in with catching the bus to pick up 2nd stage of walk.
