I am a nervous person going into a pub i hardly know especially when the rugby was on but i have to say that the royal oak is a special place in nelson. The staff are friendly and provide an excellent service.

The outside area is excellent and clean with very modern furnishing. I enjoyed the ease of access paying with a card because who carries cash these days.

This place has a main bar area and other areas i assume can be used for special functions.

All in all this was a lovely friendly pub for the people of the local area but if you are visiting i would definitely recommend this establishment.

Had a great night here, friendly staff and decent prices. Will definitely be back with more friends. Well done to the landlady Sarah, she's doing a great job 🙂

Had fab time tonight in beer garden. Sara is a fab landlady of pub.tommy is always on hand to support Sarah. They both are doing a fantastic job.xx

Great pub atmosphere is fab staff very friendly Sarah the landlady very welcoming and cheapest place for a pint.

Sarah gives everyone a warm welcome and the pub has a really good atmosphere. Definetly a place I would go back to
