Revisited March 2022
This time we had mother's day Sunday lunch. Things were not quite right this time. Service was not on point. Constantly having to follow up where things were. Definitely having problems today. Food tastes good but was cold and we had waited 1hr for food and really just wanted to get on with our day. Sides of veg were served 10mins before main dishes came so we're cold by the time food came. People were getting served before us despite us ordering way before others. The prawn starter was very good and mushroom starter was very good. I think it was just an off day today. As its not normally like this. I spoke to Mark at the bar and he said sorry and they were having kitchen difficulties today.

Revisited February 2022
Still the best filet steak I've ever had. And served identical to the visit 9 months prior. Everything was cooked to perfection. I would like to see a kids steak added to the menu. We had fish and chips this time too. My brother is hard to impress with food but he was impressed with his fish and chips. Thank you again see you soon.

Visit in July 2021 Very possibly the best filet steak I've ever had. Really lovely place, lovely service and welcoming staff. Very different to the past pub. Food was cooked perfect.

Booked a table for 2 in advance after walking in the day before no problem. Was a little difficult finding same day tables but it's not their fault just a warning. Booked for 7pm on Easter Sunday and the restaurant was busy but not too crowded. Shown to table, polite staff. We were advised menus and condiments left on each table and to order at the bar. Sat down on a bench that had the last dinners crumbs all over showing the table was wiped clean but only onto the chairs. Decided on the Barmouth Burger and my wife wanted the tomato and mozzarella salad, but instead of the add on plain chicken, the Southern fried chicken instead. Was not a problem for the staff and food came as requested. Burger tasted good but a little messy. Not my favourite type of chip but was served hot. Only fault for my wife was the salad was mostly Rocket which she doesn't really like and lots of red onion which became overpowering. Would have been nice for mix of greens. Plenty of mozzarella. Overall nice meal with nothing 'wrong' apart from personal tastes. Wi-fi PW provided on request but not a strong signal in the rear eating area. Price is reasonable considering the local competition. Nice touch to have plugs and usb sockets at the table.

My fiance and I were driving through Barmouth and decided to stop for the seaside views and mid-day meal. The restaurant was packed and we waited awhile for a table. It was a Sunday to be fair! (I'm sure weekends are always quite busy) The waitresses tried their best to keep everything in an orderly fashion and we were eventually seated in about 20-25 minutes. Both of us ordered the Barmouth Burger and it was MASSIVE! We couldn't even finish the whole burger/meal. Totally worth it though. Very fat heavy but delicious! The onion nest was a lovely addition and we really enjoyed it. Large chip sizes (almost the size of potato wedges) but medium portions, which was appreciated considering the burger's size. The chips were crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. Super yummy and cooked to perfection! Good coleslaw too. Their soft drink sizes are also quite big as well, but I was happy that I didn't have to buy an additional drink. Give this place a try for sure~

We fish and chips. Jeez big portions and the most amazing cod I've had. It was outstanding. Can't say the same for the chips (,typical frozen chips) but the fish filled me up so I didn't miss them.
Lovely staff, helpful and friendly.
Would go again.

Me and my partner popped in here yesterday for a meal. We had 2 starters: Garlic Prawns, bbq chicken wings and cheesy garlic bread. All really well presented and all tasted delicious. Then we had the barmouth burger and chicken burger, both again really well presented and tasted amazing! Chips were big and crunchy... we were not disappointed. Would eat here again happily!

Visited mid week for lunch and a pint. Was really impressed with the food, beer and the service!
The pub seemed dark from out on the bright street outside, but very glad we ventured inside.
Really appreciated the WiFi as well :)

Came on bank holiday for day out and ate here. The food was very nice, one of the nicest pubs I've been to for a while. Very nice inside and food came quickly with good customer service. Little bit more expensive than I usually pay but still we would return next time we're in Barmouth.
