I go here regularly, friendly crowd of Welsh and English customers, friendly staff, a great selection of drinks for a small bar including guest ales and a nice selection of single malts.
The food tastes absolutely amazing and is always cooked to perfection. I recommend the soup of the day, the roast beef, and the fish and chips. Their sandwiches are also amazing. The menu caters for vegetarians aswell as meat eaters, and it's in the heart of a lovely village community on the foot of the brecon Beacons. What more could you want, other than lush views which you can also get on a nice day from their lovely little beer garden. Dog friendly, and no children In the bar area, it's exactly what you would expect from a country inn and restaurant.

Lovely food. Tasty curry. Medium was a bit hot but delicious. Would go for mild next time. Hubby had chicken in bacon with cheese thoroughly enjoyed it.

Couldn't of been made to feel more welcome! Go for the food alone.! The roast dinner was enormous but quality was not replaced by quantity. 👌 Superb customer service. Made our Sunday!

Just returned from Sunday lunch in the Pit Wheel and we couldn't fault anything . The French onion soup was to die for and the mushroom and bacon salad starter was delicious. Our main course was beautiful with a choice of deliciously cooked meats and vegetables. The service was amazing and with drinks the bill was just over £30. Didn't have room for dessert so I brought it home will update on the cheesecake later . Many thanks to all of the staff can't wait to return .
