Great place for a beer and a chat. Sport on the telly, if that's your thing; and nice views of the river from the outside seating area. I'm eating and drinking with family and I must say, it's very nice. The food is reasonably priced and tasty for a pub meal. I've enjoyed a number of meals and a fair few beers, sung with the local choir at the bar and heard a few bands....... lovely 😎

A few months had passed, but an impression had been made and we were back.
The log fire glowed, the staff smiled and The Cure proclaimed that On Friday I'm In Love....

Sunday Lunch just has to be beef, for me. And wow, the beef was stunningly succulent.
Vegetables, all beautifully cooked overflowed, with the offer of more if required.
All drenched in lashings of gravy.

A lovely spot, great food and friendly staff.
As I left, The Cure reminded me that Sunday was a great day to be in love too.

.....................................................................

North Wales had been a blast, as had the journey back. The rain lashed and the wind howled, making the debris strewn roads far more exciting than needbe.

Cardigan appeared. An oasis of calm, that we knew well.

It was Sunday and our stomachs were reminding us of this fact with increasing ferocity.
The Grosvenor reached out a hand of friendship and we were happy to accept.

The beef roast dinners were delicious. The beef succulent and the veg cooked to a tee.
Service was prompt and very friendly. Certainly a place we'll visit again.

Leaving, Steve Harley spoke to me with a very apt tune...

".... Blue eyes, blue eyes,
How come you tell so many lies"

Indeed.

Booked last minute for 5 as ‘fish and chips’ was a must for our visitors. Staff were welcoming, friendly and efficient. The surroundings were spacious and dog friendly which our youngest visitor made the most of by patting the majority of them. The food was fantastic - my veggie pasta was rich and flavourful, the f&c was huge and everyone agreed that it was delicious with the batter being crisp and the fish fresh and tasty! The burger selected was obviously homemade and went down a treat. Even the child’s pasta meal was freshly cooked and beautifully presented. We will definitely be back, thanks for a great experience.

Excellent location. Two youngsters behind the bar were excellent, extremely friendly and helpful. Would have been good to see the place on a more popular day than Sunday evening.

So pleased we found this little gem.
A fabulous welcome from Beth behind the bar, great food at a reasonable price.
Thank you Beth for your hospitality.

Ate twice here during our recent stay in Cardigan, first time 3 courses each, second just 2. Could not fault anything at all, also had a drink here on a few occasions. All the staff were so friendly, Jakob is an example of a perfect front of house. Thanks to all for looking after us.

Very nice pub on the river would be great for a drink to watch the world go by if you have the weather. The staff were very helpful, friendly and accommodating. We didn’t eat here but for what I saw looked good. Also dog friendly 🐶
