Recently decorated and with a few structural alterations, the Bell/Bluebell is welcoming and staff are very pleasant.
There is a limited lunch menu - 7 main courses, 3 of which are burgers. I had the fish which judging by the wateriness and lack of texture was cooked from frozen. The batter was light and crispy however. Other meals on our table were perfectly OK.
Chef enjoys his presentation and this is most evident on the dessert, which (nb) are not available on the 2 course lunch offer.
This was a pleasant visit, but with so much local venue and menu choice, perhaps pleasant isn't quite enough.

Fantastic Sunday lunch. Managed to book a table for 15 minutes time. Lovely generous portions and really tasty meat, selection of vegetables and stuffing and Yorkshire pudding. Very nice treat for hubbie and I

We had a Xmas meal at the Blue Bell last night for 15 people. The Xmas menu is excellent and plenty to choose from. The service was prompt and very well trained staff. The food was all brought out at the same time and I always like mine hot so I was very pleased. There was plenty of food beautifully presented and the taste was perfection. There was not one complaint only praise for the exceptional evening we had. Compliments to the chef for such a tasty meal and to the service staff. Great value in my opinion. Well done. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

A Saturday lunch for five was a most enjoyable experience in an elegant yet very comfortable setting. Partly pub, partly dining- room, the Blue Bell is beautifully furnished, complimented by some
extraordinary paintings of various fish, plants and shell on its walls. We enjoyed the excellent beer-battered cod, halloumi burgers and creme brulée, accompanied by two bottles of very nice Australian Chardonnay. And all served by a trio of beautiful and charming young ladies with a great sense of humour. Very many thanks, we'll be back very soon.

Just back from a lovely birthday meal, even though it was probably my mistake there weren’t enough seats for the table. I sent emails and then my mother phoned to confirm. Everything was rectified seamlessly. What can I say ? We had a lovely time. Very attentive and friendly staff. It’s a totally different place to when I went to a few years back. The decor is stunning and still has that country inn feel to it. I had one of the nicest starters, monkfish and scallop then for mains duck. Haven’t wolfed food down so quick ever, from the others on my table they were all impressed with their mains. What a great dining experience for my Birthday, the wine went down nicely too. Can’t wait to return, credit to you all. You’ve got a great place there

Just reopened under new management. Cosy atmosphere inside. Rear parking, dog friendly. Had a evening meal. Great meal, probably one of the best lamb meals I've had. It was delicious. Will definitely be returning.
