Staff are very friendly and you can have a bit of banter with them. Good selection of larger and beers which are changed on occasion. Food menu is comprehensive and the food is very good, wait time is ok, can be a little long when busy but as expected. Interior is well decorated and the beer garden is large with a good area for kids. They've a guest peacock who visits also.

Went on recommendation for Sunday dinner since the change of ownership. The atmosphere was good and staff friendly. The meal was poor. A frozen Yorkshire pudding was served but quickly rectified. I would not go back in a hurry. To be fair it.was very busy and some reviews are a lot better than this so perhaps we just got unlucky.

Friendly staff, but really casual. We had to get our own menus then order at the bar. Probably best to choose from menus on wall around bar as they seemed better options than regular menu. Food was okay - simpler would probably have tasted better. Lovely outdoor space as well. Seems clean.

Great place for kids with a really child friendly garden with climbing frame. Lovely food and a great selection and brilliant staff, very accommodating.

I would have given 4 stars for the food but the overall experience wasn't great. The food was very nice but the service was terrible. We were a group of 14. We had booked before hand and gave our menu choices. There was one young man serving at the bar and one young man bringing out the food. The young man behind the bar was inexperienced but very friendly and personable but he did take 30 minutes to serve the drinks. The food arrived in good time and everyone enjoyed their meal. Not one of us left anything. We then waited for over an hour for our dessert, the coffee never came. It might be that they are all new, so I'd give them a chance.

Decided to call in for lunch as I'm all for supporting local business. Staff were friendly enough I just wish I could say the same about the food. We ordered one cheese and red onion melt and one beef stew with mash and veg. It was served promptly but fell well short of what had been anticipated. The stew was £10.45 so at that price you would expect to be served fresh ingredients, the mash was definitely not made on site, it was either pellet or powdered form and had been microwaved as way of heating which caused a nasty skin on them. The vegetables were cooked from frozen and tasteless, the stew however was full of flavour, it was a shame that the side elements really let this dish down. The cheese melt was served in burnt toast, the cheese was cold?? and was missing the red onions. The drink however was top notch. Definitely call in for a pint but I'd avoid the food.

Very disappointed as the food here used to be really nice.
The pie was solid and couldn't cut in to it, the filling was tasteless, mashed potato was definitely not homemade and was freezing cold
The roast dinner was a plain chicken breast with bland and cold vegetables, definitely not fresh and I'm sure it was bistro gravy.
Service was poor and when we asked for items we would have to wait a while, even though it wasnt busy at all.
Worst meal we've had at the Barn
