The Westbourne

We were a group of 9 persons here for lunch on a busy Saturday afternoon. I ordered the classic fish ‘n’ chips and they were probably one of the better (if not best) ones I’ve had by a far margin. The fish was fresh, succulent and moist, encrusted with a light beer batter.

My friend had the buttermilk chicken burger which was a tad dry and perhaps a bit overfries.

Overall it is a lovely, chill place to grab a bite and a couple of pints.

Nice food, decent service, slightly on the expensive side. I would add a photo of the food but we demolished it instantly so here’s one of the leftovers 😃 if you are peckish for standard pub grub this is probably the best in the area.

I like the venue for a quick drink and the staff are so lovely
But the quality of food we received during our last visit was not good.
Table was booked in advance, but was not big enough to hold every one. People had to sit on the edge of the table with no space for a plate. And some of the food was raw. Especially the burgers. But we did get a refund for them. Will only visit for drinks from now on

We went there for Sunday Dinner. The whole experience was amazing. The meat and all the side dishes came out at the same time and not only were they perfectly cooked but they were nice and hot. After the meal, I had a cappuccino and again was perfect and hot. Di (the chef) is fantastic.

Very tasty food, staff are helpful and friendly. The only downside was that their card machine doesn't always work so make sure you take cash just in case.

Visited the pub today for a lunchtime meal with a friend. I was so disappointed with the quality of everything, unfortunately the place seems to have gone down hill since I last visited probably over a year ago now. I had a burger which was raw in the middle & very bland over all, the chips were fried so much that they were just full of oil & so crispy there was no filling left in them! The table we sat on was sticky & dirty (there were only 2 other tables of people in the entire pub). The interior of the pub is also very tired & in need of repair/refurbishment, the music was blasting.. far too loud for a daytime meal! I'm afraid to say the overall experience was really not good! 😞

Poor food , over cooked and 1 meal half was dropped on the floor and no offer to be replaced , only positive friendly bar staff ad decent pint
