While on holiday with family and their dog we needed a place to eat that catered for vegetarians and also being dog friendly! Well this place is perfect. Really nice welcome from the young lady working, very smiley and chatty which always a good thing in my opinion. Food was good, tasty and nicely presented, but the portions are pretty big! You could definitely share some items depending on your appetite. Glad we found this place, will return if staying in the area again.

Camden Town ale was lovely, the madri not so. Menu was small but varied. £7 for the calamari starter photo.

Lovely food and great service. Make sure if you park on their carpark you input your reg into the display in the main bar, there are plenty of signs to remind you.

First time in this pub. Called them to see what time they finished serving Sunday roast. Was told the time & asked if you wanted to book a table. They were very accommodating & squeezed us in.

10 minutes later we arrived at the pub. The car park was full but we managed to find a space on the road outside. This was a good sign that the pub was popular.

Approached the bar & was asked " Hi how can I help". Courteous, another good sign. I replied saying we have just called & booked a table & the member of staff said "Ah Mr Neale, this way please". knowledgeable, another good sign.

Sat down, was left to read the menu, which was a wide range of food but as we were looking for a roast we knew what we wanted. No sooner had we placed our menu's vack on the table, our waitress was there! prompt service, again another good sign.

We ordered our food & drinks with the waitress & 2 minutes later our drinks arrived followed by our food 5 minutes later.

I had roast beef & my wife had roast chicken. Our plates were full but no veg 🤔 only to find our waitress returning to our table with a side of chunky veg.

Now I was starving having just ran a half marathon but without showing my greediness I ate my food at a pace the food deserved. OMG everything was cooked to perfection & we both cleared our plates in silence.

Sadly at this point our stomachs were full so we opted to skip desert. Our plates were removed from the table & I asked for the bill. A minute later a waitress bought our bill to our table & she also has a card machine in her hand ready for us to pay. No waiting around to pay, prefect service all around.

Upon leaving we were asked by whom I can only assume was the landlady "how was our meal" to which we replied "excellent" & I then said I would have preferred to put my own gravy on my plate & could have another roast potatoe to which she replied "thank you for your comments & if you you visit again, just ask fir your roast to be dry & an extra potatoe & we'll accommodate you" very accommodating our last good sign.

Welcome: 10/10
Service: 10/10
Friendliness: 10/10 (dogs welcome)
Value for money: 10/10

We will definitely be returning again & recommending to family & friends.

Never ever been there on the 10th of September and got a £100 parking fine. Might be a nice pub but the car park is a joke !
Avoid!
Like I said never ever been in the car park stupid was in Devon on the day of the fine!

I love this pub and it’s delicious Sunday lunch. Many spiteful people on here leaving reviews when this family do their utmost to correct any mistakes that could arise especially when Sunday lunches are very in demand. Just witnessed a couple leave a bad review just out of spite when they were offered a free round of drinks, sincere apologies and a free lunch just to make up for their wait. This is why pubs fail. These reviews are catastrophic to small business. Shame on the last negative reviewer, you were beyond unreasonable and not a person who should be welcome in a lovely pub like his one. Keep up the good work Farmers.

Never have we been made to feel so welcome. We stumbled across it and had the most delicious Sunday roast; what's more is that they are super dog friendly! We felt so relaxed and well looked after by all the staff. They made a lovely fuss of our greyhound with lots of strokes and treats. We will be back. Thank you Buffy

5 stars isn't enough.
Freshly prepared food and cooked to perfection too. I didn't notice any pre-packed or frozen produce here.
Service was exceptional too. I made the mistake in not telling them we were bringing dogs with us but they bent over backwards to fit us in and this was on Sunday afternoon and the place was packed with loads of dog parties too.
There is also a dedicated car park outside and a lovely beer garden area which is also dog friendly and dog secure too.
