A very friendly and pleasant place to go for a meal. Dog friendly and kid's friendly. Food is out of this world. Hot and tasty. Definitely be going there again soon

We were a group of 8 people and our experience was not good , food came out and was served French fries not chips didn't really mind but when you order steak you expect proper chips !! The chicken was very dry and chips were hard . Sunday dinner was very bland no taste to the veg and again chicken was very dry . One pudding came out and it was still frozen in the middle so had to send that back . I'm not normally one to complain but my husband has been ill all night after leaving there. But it wasn't only us a table opposite us had to send their food back as well . Such a shame as we used to love going there ,but won't be returning anytime soon .

Wasn't planning on having a 3 course meal. Between the 3 of us we had cleared each course in its entirety. Food was absolutely incredible and service was fast and polite. Incredible effort. ( also made my fiance feel very relaxed while breast feeding which was an incredible bonus!!) Highly recommended.

The Phoenix is a great family friendly pub. It has everything you need to enjoy a family night out and we often come as a large family gathering with the children. The park outside and pool table indoors provides endless entertainment for the children, as well as the colouring activities available. The food is always served promptly and the staff are always warm and welcoming. We will definitely continue to visit the phoenix for our family meals out.

Impromptu lunch for 2. Delicious food friendly and polite staff. We did have to wait for an hour for food but we were informed that there would be a delay due to staff shortage. Well worth the wait. Fish and chips were perfectly cooked and fresh when served. Will definitely visit again. Well done to staff for such a welcoming atmosphere

The food was great, the service quick and professional.
The App food offer didn't match the printed version fully so I had to order at the bar to get what the app hadn't shown.

Spacious table layout and comfortable seating. Good service and quick food delivery at table. Food quality okay for the price but don't expect much more. Food preparation on site probably limited to the basics. The steak and ale pie is bought in and turned out a bit soggy. The roast beef was not very tender - possibly because the restaurant was not busy and they wasn't much turnover. However the fried fish was good with crisp batter although the chips were fries and a bit ordinary. Prices are low so don't expect too much.
