Punch House

A friend of mine organised a game of golf at the nearby Rolls of Monmouth and he organised me to stay at The Punch House in Monmouth.. just a fabulous pub who's staff could not do enough for me .. The landlady just did not stop! The room I staying in was very clean and had a great shower. Absolute first class place to stay!!

We were lucky enough to sit outside in the sunshine. Bar staff were very friendly. From what we saw the meals looked really nice..I know my ciders were. Place was quite busy so they must be doing something right.

Stayed for one night at the Punch House; Felt the price of the room was a bit expensive for what it was but it was clean and comfortable with an ensuite bathroom. No breakfast service or car parking available but it had Tea/Coffee facilities and wifi in the room. The Landlady and Staff were really warm, welcoming and accommodating. Super dog friendly too which is a bonus for us! Overall, a lovely stay and will be back when we visit again. Thank you!

We stayed here for two nights, whilst on a weekend trip to the Wye Valley. The Punch House was great. The staff were lovely and very helpful. The rooms were just what we needed. Clean, tidy and comfortable. We are in the pub on Saturday night which was very enjoyable. The food was cooked well and came out quickly.

Good beer, good food, great service. Had a live band on and the place was buzzing.
Used the punch house as a base for a weekend with friends, location was ideal and accommodation was perfect for what we needed. Special shout out to Vicky who looked after us throughout the weekend. Will definitely be going back.

Stayed as a group for a golf weekend and was the perfect location. Food great and a brilliant selection of beers.
Vicky is a gem, will only stay here when we go to Monmouth. Live band on in the evening which topped off a superb stay.

Can't knock it, food was good, dri ks good, prices good... Not sure about some of the clientele, young girl laid out on pavement drunk, but that's not the pubs fault.
Can't comment on the rooms as never stayed. Overall good!

No longer a Brains pub, it's been given a minor refurb and all the better for it. Dogs are welcome. Reasonable menu and any pub that stocks Wye Valley 'Butty Bach' has to be worth a visit!
