What an absolute gem of a pub! The setting is outstanding, the garden alone is worth a visit. We had lunch which was delicious, well presented and reasonably price. Excellent choice of craft ciders (although the black dragon is a force to be reckoned with!) But without a shadow of a doubt the best part of the pub has to be the staff. Very friendly, helpful and happy! Great atmosphere and spectacular views .

We reckon this is what hobbits' pubs must look like. Tiny, ancient, full of character, hidden down twisty country lanes and sandwiched between the cliff and the river. This place is amazing. The girl serving was really friendly and introduced us to Wye 1985 lager. We only stopped in for a quick drink on our way north for the week, but the kids want to come back for the day later in the summer to play by the river and in the playground the other side of it.

An amazing setting overlooking the river! Surprisingly bustling, despite being in such a quiet setting - lots friendly locals and visitors to the area. The owners are extremely helpful and accommodating, gardens are lovely and the waterfalls keep them nice and cool, even in the summer heat. Good pub food and drink selection - we will be back!

A great riverside pub with plenty of outdoor seating.
Ideal for walkers and canoeists (very limited parking unless you park on the English bank of the river).
Tasty wraps and typical light bar food as well as a small range of meals.
Real ales and ciders available.

Good beer and wines. The wraps are huge and delicious. Great seating in the many layered gardens with fantastic views of the river. Best approached by parking at Redbrook and crossing the old railway bridge (btw note that it isn't riveted but all nut and bolt).

Lovely little pub ... over a bridge from England to Wales! I recommend booking if you are a large group as it's compact and bijou and gets busy. The food was lovely. Nice selection of beers and ciders. No Sunday lunch, so note that if you go on a Sunday, they obviously have their reasons, but good choices on the menu including vegan and vegetarian options. Really enjoyed our visit.

Great rural, rustic, riverside pub, nestled on the right bank of the river Wye, across the walking bridge from Redbrook. Excellent Wye Valley Ale, expertly kept. Small and welcoming bar, with affable staff, live music and good, wholesome home cooked food. Recommended!

Got to be up there with the finest pubs on the planet. Great location, selection of beer and cider, fires in both rooms and an amazing garden.
