The Church Inn

Lovely food and the girls were lovely, the was a good surprise as I haven't been there for years.
Great find for someone who's gluten free.
Gin bar too and they served an ok pint of Guinness

Seen the new menu posted and decided to take a look. Environment was very clean food was delicious. Staff were on point. Definitely going back to try one of the platters.

Really nice atmosphere in the Church Inn. The servers were polite and friendly. The steak was well cooked, the home made chips were beautiful and the deserts were great too.

First time here tonight and it definitely won't be the last. The atmosphere is wonderful and relaxed, the layout is welcoming and the food & drink is beautiful!

As a vegan it was a real delight to not have to settle for a nut roast or veggie curry but actually be able to have a lovely, hot, delicious meal.

Nothing was too much trouble for the team and having spoken to the male host we definitely felt at ease.

Highly recommended, quality service, quality food.

Bitterly disappointed.
Having been recommended this place I had high expectations but was left unsatisfied. Service was okay and food arrived at a decent pace but over all the food was extremely bland. The veg was under cooked and cold, the roast potatoes were hard the gravy was like water and really lacked any body to it. t
To be honest everything was well below average. Would not recommend for Sunday Lunch

Gravy - very watery lacked any flavor or body.

Beef - tender and the only thing good about the meal

Roasties - hard, tasteless and and insult to call it a roast

Veg - hard cold and bland

Yorkshire - good, average.

Mash - actually quiet alright had a nice texture, creamy with prices of unmashed potato mixed in which I quiet liked.

This is the first time my partner and I have tried the Church inn, and I’m not famous for leaving positive reviews but on this occasion I will say I was really impressed with the food. The waiting staff seemed really busy but achieving not much. But the food speaks for itself. Would definitely visit again and the only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is we were seated in a particularly cold area. Other than than it’s a really nice place with really good food.

Had a lovely meal there. Was quiet and had the whole place to ourselves! Very yummy food and good service - very attentive staff.

We went here for and evening meal and it was absolutely wonderful. There were different vegan options. I had the mushroom and cranberry wellington. There were no vegan desserts but the owner made one for me which will be on their Christmas menu and it didn't disappoint. Lovely atmosphere too and music.
