RUDE and UNHELPFUL LANDLADY
We frequented here today for the first time in a long time. The last time i did the lady was rude. Today my daughter popped in for a drink with her grandfather. She then attempted to use the toilet and was she couldn’t. My 11year old proceeded to tell her she needed it and was was uncomfortable and she replied not my problem. The gentleman is nice shame she has to be so unhelpful. Also no cash so can’t give change and can’t pay by card either. Our family have been coming here for years. I will never give my business here again. Go the Stag lovely place

I loved it LOL
I sat and chatted with the lady for awhile. Once she's comfortable with you she really is a nice person. Get past that hard exterior of her and there's a sweet lady under there :)
I'll be heading to back to the UK this May and I'll be sire to stop in to Ye Olde Vigor Inn once again!

AVOID!!

Horrible, if your face doesn’t fit / if you’re not from the area expect rudeness and to feel uncomfortable. I asked to use the toilet whilst only with my baby before ordering and was basically laughed at by a horrible old man behind the bar who was so dismissive then we was stared at uncomfortably by a load of locals. Glad I didn’t spend my money here! Felt so awful, avoid!

Oh dear ,where to start. The place if filthy,it smells so bad. It really needs a lit of money spent on it. How anyone could consider eating there is beyond me. Its proberbly the worst pub I've ever been in. I'm trying to find something positive to say but I really can't.

Rudest landlady I’ve ever encountered. Wouldn’t accept my £10 for my drink as I didn’t have the right change it was hardly a £50! Stop pouring my drink and told me to go elsewhere. The pub was extremely dated, grubby looking and in need of a refurb.

Googled for a place to drink and noticed the really bad reviews so I just could not resist going in for a quick pint I was pleasantly surprised by Lovely old gentleman behind the bar not the Dragon everyone is talking about .

Feel reluctant to give a star, this place is a joke, called in for a couple of beers, when I ordered she just tutted, like she couldn't be arsed, my wife asked to use the toilet, and was told its upstairs, then she said, there is some free toilets across the road, and it would have been cheaper to go across the road rather than buy a couple of beers here, I told her I fancied a drink, then asked if I was from Yorkshire, yes I was, another funny look from her, then was told that she doesn't accept card, also the toilet was disgusting, also first time, a full size bath in the toilet, very strange.
Avoid at all costs

Have to say, we were very disappointed.
Reading previous reviews, we were hoping for the rude and surly landlady. We got the opposite, pleasant, friendly and polite bar staff, and one of the best pints of Guinness we've ever had too.
A nice, old fashioned village pub, the way it should be!
Perhaps we got it on an off day! ;-)
