The Vernon Arms

We had a family party on Saturday and cant thank the staff enough for the night and there help arranging it.
The night we wanted originally was taken but they offered an alternative to accommodate our celebration.
They also arranged a DJ for us and organised his arrival and set up.
The room was clean and ready for us to decorate in the afternoon.
The bar staff were polite, friendly and efficient so there was no waiting around for drinks to be served. An excellent service throughout the night.
The location was easy to access with plenty of street parking and the outdoor areas were tidy and well maintained to allow for guests to be outside.
We highly recommend The Vernon Arms and thank you to all the staff for making it such a wonderful night for everyone.

We had a wedding anniversary in there function room. All I can say is brilliant. The staff were friendly, Lesley who we spoke to about booking the room was most helpful, nothing was too much trouble for her, she organised the dj and kept in touch from booking through to the evening of the party. I would highly recommend this place. Thankyou for having us.

Had a surprise party for my mum's 60th birthday last night. Room is a perfect size and there is a lovely outdoor space. The staff were really helpful and friendly. A fantastic atmosphere. Thanks.

Brilliant night here at the Vernon on Tuesday... they had a quiz night which was great fun. Amazing free food too. Good quality beer that was a reasonable price. Lovely clean, fun, warm atmosphere and the staff were amazing 😃

Very nice local pub, great staff very friendly, the room was a good size for the 60 ish guests, there's a large patio area on slabs with pub tables plus there's an overspill area that's laid to mud with seating too, there was plenty of room for the dj, we had a separate bar in the room we hired, I would say the only downside is there's no carpark at all and you have to try find a parking place on the street outside, out the front are a few tables, there's a darts area in the main room, I'm not sure if they have a kitchen but they do sell snacks overall a very good night out

Very cozy pub and friendly staff. Great and welcoming atmosphere. There is a big function room. Premises are clean. Lots happening in the pub and there is always something to do. Highly recommend and will definitely visit again.

We attended the Vernon Arms craft Fayre which was fully attended by lovely people looking for bargains and unusual gifts for christmas, very well organised.
