Booked a double room for night. This is a pub and the Saturday night we stayed it was open til 2am. We were happy to stay up late and had a good night . Very basic but bed was clean and comfy. Made our own tea and toast in the morning. Friendly landlady. Cheap rates.

Warm, friendly pub. It is very well run by very competent staff. The food looks good but I haven't had chance to try it yet.

Friendly "Local" Pub.
Family friendly,
Dog friendly,
The locals are friendly.
Free Wi-Fi if you cannot leave your phone alone
Come in for a great selection of Ales (The Jolly Sailor has connections to a Micro-Brewery based in Selby, called The Jolly Sailor Brewery).
Good selection of gins if that is your preference. From experience, there has always been a special offer available for double measures at a highly competitive price.
Most nights have some sort of entertainment. For example Quizzes, Prize Bingo, Live Music, even an Open Mic.
A welcome night out.

We've just had takeaway fish and chips with peas and they were INCREDIBLE ♥️ Definitely recommended!

Part of you doesn’t want to ‘let the cat out the bag’ but we have to acknowledge Kathy’s Sunday lunch.
10/10 dinner and the best value meal I’ve had anywhere.
Friendly and homely pub, always some sort of entertainment on every time we visit!

Awesome local pub with great music and jolly staff. Great beer and accommodation options too. Definitely check it out!

Went there after a funeral so not a happy occasion. But it was great to see a proper pub. It wasn't modernised and flash, just a real pub. Didn't stay there either so can't say much else.

We had a room which is a good budget find if you don't mind sharing toilet/shower room. Noisy when we were there till midnight, but just because of the music festival they were hosting I guess. Staff were great. Bed was hard. Shared little kitchen useful to help/cook yourself breakfast.
