First time visiting and not exactly blown away. Off the bat, 2 staff cars take up a good 5 spots (VW over line for 2 spots and Volvo blocking 3+). This wasn't very user friendly for any guests, especially disabled such as my grandad on crutches having to park on the new estate round the corner.
Tried messaging/ notifying ahead of time for a 6 seater and just met with the reply "it's a walk in service on Sunday" so we couldn't even secure a table. When we went in, had to wait a good 30-45 minutes to get seated. (Arrived at 2:30 and got sat at 3:15).
Food was fine when we got to it.

Absolutely fantastic! Love this place, beautiful surroundings, friendly staff and food to die for. Sticky chicken is a must. Cottage pie delicious and homemade chips. Nothing to complain about can't wait to return and bring friends. Well done to everyone involved it's really good.

Lovely place. Staff were some of the nicest I’ve encountered anywhere. Food served at a relaxing pace, and my wife was a huge fan of the chips! Came away with full bellies, and would not hesitate to go back if we were ever in the area again.

The choice of meals are incredible, so much variety and so many to choose from. We had an absolutely fantastic meal.The service was excellent, the decor is lovely, the music is nice in the background and the tables are decorated beautifully. The staff are so nice, friendly, polite and the food is amazing. I would highly recommend The gate,and will definitely be going back.

Always a very friendly welcome, the beers are wonderful, superb selection of gins and the food is exceptional. We've been twice and it's our new favourite place to eat. Beautifully decorated for Christmas and ample parking, brilliant.

First time at The Gate Inn and it was absolutely amazing! The food was delicious (especially their famous sticky chicken!) Christopher was incredible and the customer service was 5 star. Would 100% be coming back!

Friendly welcome. Good food. Had the Sunday carvery which was very nice but I think some of the vegetables had been there a while. A good and varied menu.

Excellent food with fantastic staff. Always a warm welcome. The pub is beautifully decorated this Christmas time. A must for everyone to visit.
