Great proper pub! We'd walked to the waterfalls and went here on the way back to Cloughton. Service was quick even though you could see they'd been really busy. Lots of water out for dogs too. Food was lovely, best chips I've had in a while.

Lovely pub, very comfortable and relaxed. Staff were extremely accommodating and loved lexi the dog! Food was tasty and the fact it's right near a waterfall and pebble beach is perfect!

Absolutely stunning food and good ales. Plenty of garden space and outdoor seating as well as a cosy yet huge indoor dining area dog friendly, family friendly and cyclists haunt. Fully recommended 10/10 staff also fantastic 👏

Old pub with Real Atmosphere.
For, in my case over 45 years, the open fire, food, beer and staff were all excellent and worth travelling for.
September 2022 and nothing's changed. Just goes to show.
Don't fix what ain't broke!!
Worth 6 stars.

Cozy country pub with excellent food and a great selection of drinks. The sea bass was delicious, service was good and staff were friendly. Lovely atmosphere with lots of interesting historic photos of the area inside, and dog friendly too. Great location, and plenty of parking right outside. Worth taking the short walk down to Hayburn Wyke beach and waterfall before dinner!

Lovely pub nestled at the cliff top, only a short walk from the shore. Local ales were available, with a good looking food menu. Personally, I enjoyed the open fire inside and historic photos of the pub framed upon the walls. Beautiful surroundings make the a great stop for walks within the area.

One of my favourite places to stay. Rooms aren't flash but they are in character with the place and I don't go here to sit in a room. A proper bar with a log fire, great beer, great service and lovely food. Excellent staff made this a fab short stay. If you want character this is the place, if you want fancy go elsewhere.
